Miyazaki Airplane

It was a Japanese company specializing in the manufacture of aeronautical components during the Second World War. The company was run by Katsuji Miyazaki, father of Hayao Miyazaki. This family relationship partly explains the frequent depiction of airplanes in Hayao Miyazaki's films.

Gakushuin

It is a private Japanese university located in Tokyo. In 2023, it is ranked 50th out of more than 200 universities in Japan's university rankings.

Isao Takahata

The co-founder of Studio Ghibli with Hayao Miyazaki is Isao Takahata. He was a renowned Japanese film director and also exerted considerable influence in the art world.

Toei Animation

Toei Animation is a Japanese studio that has been producing animated films and series since 1948. The studio has contributed to the animation of such iconic titles as Goldorak, Knights of the Zodiac, Akira, Sailor Moon, and most recently, One Piece. Toei Animation has played a major role in the creation and development of these famous works of Japanese animation.
